KODO / WorkClose

I built a villa brand from the ground up.

KODO is my boutique villa development in Lombok, Indonesia. I created its brand identity, sales website, 360° villa tours, owner platform concept and internal construction-reporting tools.

KODO
The problem
Selling villas to international buyers who can’t easily visit, while managing construction from another continent.
What I did
I created the brand, designed and developed the digital sales experience, and built tools for remote villa exploration and construction oversight.
The result
KODO gained a cohesive identity and digital experience connecting buyers with the project, while making construction progress easier to follow remotely.

Key decisions

I built the identity around the feeling of home.

KODO connects the Estonian kodu (home) with the Japanese kodō (heartbeat). I wanted a brand that reflects the villas themselves: light, natural, warm and timeless, expressed through a restrained visual identity.

Trade-offA quieter identity sacrifices some of the immediate impact of conventional luxury branding.

KODO brand: logo, colour and type

I made remote exploration central to the buying experience.

Most potential buyers are overseas. I combined clear project information, architectural visuals and interactive 360° tours to help people understand the villas and their surroundings before visiting.

Trade-offRich visual content takes more time to produce and maintain as the project evolves.

KODO sales website and villa page

I designed construction reporting around remote oversight.

Managing a development from Europe requires reliable information from the team in Lombok. I created a structured reporting experience to make progress, site conditions and issues easier to document and follow.

Trade-offStructured reporting requires more discipline and regular input from the on-site team.

Outcome

I turned KODO from a development concept into a recognizable brand with a connected digital experience. The website and virtual tours support international buyers, while internal tools bring more structure to managing construction remotely.
